Common European framework of reference (marco común de referencia europea)

Developed through a process of scientific research and wide consultation, this document provides a practical tool for setting clear standards to be attained at successive stages of learning and for evaluating outcomes in an internationally comparable manner.
It divides the learning of languages in 6 levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) and takes into account the four basic skills. It has been translated into Spanish by the “Instituto Cervantes”.
Here we have a basic view of the 6 levels:

From my point of view it is really useful because it helps you to show your level of English all over the world avoiding mistakes and misunderstandings. I started to know about it in the E.O.I where as many of you should know, it is divided in the same levels as the Common European Framework of reference (one year per level)
I hope I helped you to understand what is it, and if you have any doubt or remember more situations where the European framework was usefull to you, please tell me.
Bye
